Trouble 'n' Strife was the original machine of the Trouble & Strife team which competed in Series 5 of Robot Wars. It was a box-wedge shape, decorated to look like an alligator. Its weapons included a CO2 powered flipper at the front and a two-toothed, 20kg, 1000RPM spinning disc at the rear. It did have a sluggish turning circle and failed to win its only match, but it proved tough in its fight against Wild Thing, surviving to the end despite numerous blows from the seeded machine's flywheel.

Trouble & Strife is cockney slang for "wife."

From Series 6 onwards, the team entered Robot Wars with Revenge of Trouble & Strife, a much a different robot.

Series 5Edit

Wild Thing ran into the rear of Trouble 'n' Strife, causing it to spin away. Both machines dealt blows with their flywheels, with Wild Thing's showing more damage. More blows from Wild Thing, and Trouble 'n' Strife activated its flipper, with Wild Thing digging into the exposed interior. Wild Thing dealt blows to the armour of Trouble 'n' Strife, but Trouble 'n' Strife began to deal good flips to Wild Thing, buckling a wheel. Another flip lifted it off the ground, but Wild Thing launched a glancing blow and pushed Trouble 'n' Strife into the CPZ where it was axed by Shunt. Despite the odds, Trouble 'n' Strife made it to the end, where Wild Thing scraped the win.
