Thermidor 2 (spelt in-game as Thermidor II) is a British heavyweight robot that competed in third series of Robot Wars, and continued until the end of the show's run, reaching the semi-finals twice. This was the first Robot Wars video game released, and so it was the first appearance of Thermidor 2, and it would later go on to appear in one more video game.
Appearance and Armament
Edit

Added by Obi-HaveRobot Wars: Metal Mayhem was the first Robot Wars game and as such Thermidor 2 was one of the first competitor robots to be playable. Due to the Game Boy Color's comparatively poor graphics, the arenas and robots could not be very detailed, and the same goes for Thermidor 2.
In this game, the robot called Thermidor II is infact modeled on the original robot from that team, Thermador. Consequently, the potent flipper of its successor is not present, instead there is a pair of lobster pincers, and a moving spike. Oddly, Thermidor's rear is rounded (as it would be from Extreme Series 1 onwards), whilst Thermador had a pointed tail with a saw at the rear (which, as a result, is ommited). Thermidor attacks by closing the pincers, but this does not grab the opponent, merely crushes them. Thermidor is vulnerable to being flipped by the floor spikes, one of only seven robots to be affected by this weakness.
Differences between game and real life
Edit
- Thermidor's pincers crush in the game, but grab in real life
- The model is built on Thermidor 2's predecessor Thermador
