Shuriken was a robot from Team Katana that was named after the Shuriken (or Throwing Star)- a small, multi-bladed throwing weapon from Japan known for its association with ninjas.
The team also owned Ninjitsu in Season 2 and Nickelodeon Robot Wars, and drove loanerbot The Green Mouse as a result of damage to Shuriken.
Design
Shuriken was an invertible two-wheeled robot with two horizontal cutting discs with a yin-yang symbol painted onto them. These weapons, however, were not very durable, as they broke off when Shuriken was placed on the floor flipper.
Robot History
Season 1
Shuriken faced Red Virus, 6 Million Dollar Mouse, Medusa Oblongata, The Brute and Falcon in the first round of the US Championship. In the battle, Shuriken hit 6 Million Dollar Mouse, but stopped spinning, and Falcon became stuck on top of it. Shuriken had broken down as a result, and was placed on the floor flipper by Shunt, where its weapons came loose as the robot was tossed through the air. The Brute won the battle on a judges' decision. Shuriken was too badly damaged to continue competing, and the team drove The Green Mouse in the side events of the series.
