- "Newcomers, to the delight of the House Robots, who'll see this as a toy Merry-Go-Round!""
- — Jonathan Pearce introduces Scarey-Go-Round
Scarey-Go-Round was a heavyweight robot which entered Series 7. It sustained major damage during an encounter with Fluffy, but still reached the Judges' decision of its melee, where Scarey-Go-Round was ultimately eliminated.
Although Scarey-Go-Round is the name of the robot used on the show, this would be an incorrect spelling, as 'scary' is the true spelling of the word. It is unknown if the error was made by the producers and editors, or the team themselves.
Scarey-Go-Round was a circular robot designed to resemble a fairground carousel, its name being a pun on another name for the ride, "Merry-Go-Round". Its lower half was a spinning weapon, and the "riders" were sharp blades and cuddly toys. Although its weapon gave it 360 degrees of defence, it was slow and had a very high ground clearance.
- "Very slow, very high ground clearance, very good fun, very little hope!"
- — Jonathan Pearce's less-than-optimistic summary of Scarey-Go-Round
Scarey-Go-Round initially began to spin up, but was immediately targeted by Fluffy, which comfortably slashed through Scarey-Go-Round's armour. Fluffy followed this up with two more strong attacks, which crippled Scarey-Go-Round's drive system, and as a result, it was only able to move around on the spot. Constrictor then closed in on Scarey-Go-Round but failed to put its lifting arm to any use before moving away.
- "Look at the gash out of the side of it! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear - what have they put in the arena! Scarey-Go-Round? That's a nightmare for mechanics."
- — Jonathan Pearce
Killer Carrot 2 was the next machine to came over to attack Scarey-Go-Round, but could only lift Scarey-Go-Round up so far with its flip. For the majority of the time remaining, Scarey-Go-Round was left largely unattended to, with only Killer Carrot 2 coming in to push it backwards with a drive. With the clock ticking down, Scarey-Go-Round spun its way onto the flame pit, where it sat stationary until cease was called. Despite this, Scarey-Go-Round had survived to a judges' decision, but its contribution in the battle was deemed insufficient to reward it a place in the second round, and its involvement in the Seventh Wars came to an early end.
