Robot statistics correct as of its most recent appearance on the show
- "Ready to spread the plague."
- — Rebecca Grant
Red Virus was a competitor robot from Lakewood, California that fought in Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors. It lost in the first round of the US Championships on a very close judges' decision, but managed to take third place in the Annihilator.
Red Virus, as its name suggests, was entirely red. Its weapon was a three-pronged lifting mechanism, which was surmounted by skulls (which contained glitter that fell out during the US Championship battle), to keep the theme of Death. The team dressed as doctors and carried injection needles filled with a red liquid.
The team also entered Mechadroid into the second season of Extreme Warriors.
- "Red Virus goes in there with that forklift arm, and decapitates Medusa"
- — Stefan Frank
Red Virus knocked off Medusa's head, but took a severe blow from Matilda, throwing it back from the CPZ. Red Virus stayed stronger as it continued to hassle Medusa. By now, Shuriken and Falcon were out, and Red Virus took on The Brute, the only robot still undamaged. Between the two robots, and to a lesser extent $6 Million Mouse and Medusa Oblongata, the judges made their decision. The Brute was given the semi-final place by the judges.
Without the skulls, Red Virus turned up for the Annihilator. It harassed Rippa Raptor, shoving it into the CPZ. Red Virus then bravely met Unibite's weapon head on, and managed to immobilise it. At this point, the battle was ceased with Skullmania having been counted out. In Round 2, Red Virus was rammed by Conquering Clown, who pushed it away. Red Virus then knocked off Conquering Clown's wig, before hassling Unibite, who had been rendered immobile. In Round 3, Red Virus tentatively attacked Rippa Raptor, but Conquering Clown was obliterated and went out.
- "Its like a David and Goliath here, but there's two Goliaths"
- — Stefan Frank on noting that Red Virus is significantly lighter than both remaining opponents
Red Virus attacked Rippa Raptor, and they were separated by Refbot. It was easily shunted by Drillzilla, but managed to escape it and Matilda to recommence the attack on Rippa Raptor. However, Red Virus was slammed by Drillzilla into the House Robots and arena hazards. By now, Red Virus was battered and immobile, and defeated via pit.
- "You've got to give little Red Virus, at half the weight, ten out of ten for effort."
- — Stefan Frank
