Monad was a roughly triangular prism shaped robot that competed in the fifth series of Robot Wars. It was four-wheeled and had small crushing pincers as its weaponary, capable of crushing a 18 inch concrete block, but it had one of the largest ground clearances in the Fifth Wars (5cm), and lost its only battle to the crusher of Tiberius 2.

This was the team's first entrance to Robot Wars but the team also entered with 4x4 in Series 6 and Topbot in Series 7.

Robot HistoryEdit

Series 5Edit

Monad participated in Heat J of the Fifth Wars, and was placed up against the experienced Tiberius 2 for its first round battle. In the battle, Monad initially used its speed to ram Tiberius, but its lack of potent weaponary was telling. Tiberius 2 used its crusher to penetrate the shell of Monad. Monad's claws then partially broke off. Monad activated the pit release button, but broke down right next to it. Tiberius 2 subsequently won the battle by pushing Monad down into the pit of oblivion, eliminating the latter from the competition.
