- "It's the killdozer dozey dozey sleepy show!"
- — Jonathan Pearce
Kill Dozer was a competitor on Robot Wars, competing solely in The Second Wars. Though it lost its only battle, Kill Dozer is most notable for holding off Matilda in the Tug of War trial, while every other robot competing in the Heat Trial was pulled into the Pit.
Kill Dozer was a basic box-shaped robot with a large hydraulic lifter on the front, which could hoist a ton in theory (realistically it could lift in excess of 12 stone) and featured 1.5' spikes, and a blade at the back to protect the rear wheels. It was armoured in aluminium with a steel chassis and, though tracks were used at first, these were later replaced due to friction during turning. The turning of Kill Dozer is worth noting as the rear wheel drive meant the front of the robot turned in a huge arc while the back went in a small arc. Most robots with 2WD have the wheels situated in the middle which means the robot turns evenly.
In the Gauntlet, Kill Dozer chose the ramp route, momentarily caught on the spikes on its way there. It decided to try and lift the wall instead of push through it, which caused the bricks to fall in an awkward position for it to progress. It managed to get onto the ramp but its low ground clearance gave it difficulty. Matilda then sliced through the aluminium armour until cease was called. Despite travelling only 5.8 metres, it surpassed Penetrator and the eliminated Broot, and progressed to the Trial.
- "We used spikes on the bottom of the blade to dig into the floor of the arena. Matilda didn't have a chance!"
- — Paul Hart on the team's tactics in The Trial
Kill Dozer was the only robot to survive the full 30 seconds in the Tug of War against Matilda. It did so by digging its scoop into the arena floor, but was only stopped from dragging Matilda into the pit by the slope which left the drive wheels spinning in mid-air.
In the Arena Semi-Final against Ivanhoe, it was able to get underneath its opponent, but was unable to turn it over with its lifter. Both robots went into the PPZ and were attacked by the house robots. Sir Killalot lifted Kill Dozer up, held it over the flame pit for a while, and then dropped it into the pit.
- "We managed to lift it off the ground with the blade easily but their chassis dug into the stage and we couldn't push it. Killalot was fast approaching so I dropped them and ran. We got caught in the PPZ by a combination of bad driving and radio interference (I know everyone blames that but it was really bad - the studio was under 11,000 volt pylons)."
