Round 1[]

Ming vs The Steel Avenger[]

Ming The Steel Avenger
Mingthemerciless
Steelavenger
Votes for Ming Votes for The Steel Avenger
  1. Ming is hopeless, The Steel Avenger, whilst not brilliant in this incarnation, is still better. Matt(Talk) 11:41, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  2. This Ming's reliability will play havoc with it right from the start, without doing anything, The Steel Avenger will progress to Round 2. Datovidny (talk) 11:42, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Steel Avenger's is axe should do enough here, Mortis only needed one hit, so it shouldn't take Steel Avenger to long to immobilise Ming. Llamaman201 (talk) 14:37, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  4. This Ming is absolutely terrible. The Steel Avenger isn't. Onwards, Steel Avenger! /Middle_Eye\(talk) 17:27, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  5. If Ming actually does ANYTHING I'll be very surprised....CrashBash 18:50, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  6. As above. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 23:10, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
TBD

Excaliber (14) vs Big Brother[]

Excaliber (14) Big Brother
Excalibur
Big brother
Votes for Excalibur
  1. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that the axe of Excalibur can win this. Big Brother's battle record in hardly illustrious, and that axe looks deadly, but it didn't get to show it off against the rock hard shell of Centurion. I suspect I'll be the only one on this, but onwards for the seed. Matt(Talk) 11:41, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Excalibur's axe will do some nice damage here, it did actually manage to penetrate Centurion's armour and Big Brother isn't amazing and I think can't do much here. Llamaman201 (talk) 14:37, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Excalibur's axe is very potent, and Big Brother isn't. I'll say that Excalibur will break down, but not before delivering some lethal blows to BB. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 17:27, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Damage and agression have the most weight in the judges' decisions, and I think Excalibur will top those. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 23:10, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Votes for Big Brother
  1. Excalibur will start as the stronger machine, but will become immobilised late on in the battle, after one decisive blow from Big Brother. Datovidny (talk) 11:44, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I think if Big Brother can keep going on the aggresive, it'll win on Aggression, control and style. Even if Excalibur does cause more damage, it will be behind on three counts. CrashBash 18:52, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
TBD

Sonic vs Thing 2[]

Sonic Thing 2
Sonic
Thing2
Votes for Sonic Votes for Thing 2
  1. I don't think the Addams family will ever be troubled by a robot like Sonic. Maybe if it was still Barry, but not Sonic. Matt(Talk) 11:41, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Thing 2's wedge shape will give it the edge, charging side-on into Sonic, and make it topple onto its back by spinning around in circles, like it did to Cerberus. Datovidny (talk) 11:45, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  3. The wedge is crucial here and may be enough to tip Sonic over. Also the rear spike into a tyre maybe?? Llamaman201 (talk) 14:37, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Thing 2 to flip Sonic and give it to Killalot. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 17:27, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Flip over, bye bye. CrashBash 18:52, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Cerberus-esque tip-over. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 23:10, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Winner: Thing 2 (6-0)

Depoppesaurus Rex vs Berserk 2[]

Depoppesaurus Rex Berserk 2
Deporex
Berserk 2
Votes for Depoppesaurus Rex
  1. Another one that I've been pondering for a while. I think Depoppesaurus is highly underrated, and could probably take this one. This is no discredit to Berserk, who I rate very highly, but I don't think it will get its lifter into play here, and that axe is worthless. The Poppe family, on the other hand, have a free pick of any of the ground clearences around Berserk, and can, and will, lift and topple Berserk up and out. Sadly. Matt(Talk) 11:41, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Votes for Berserk 2
  1. This battle will have a very slow start to it, with Berserk 2 getting an occasional axe blow in, causing no damage. Depoppesaurus Rex will then get one lift in, not quite over-balancing Berserk 2. Eventually, Berserk 2 will back into the Belgian machine, and use its forklift, to flip it over, where it will not recover. Datovidny (talk) 11:48, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Berserk 2 to immediately going for the lift attack as Depo isn't really a great shape for the axe to do much. Llamaman201 (talk) 14:37, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  3. I see a very boring battle here, with Beserk and Depoppesaurus lifting each other a lot, but neither getting the killing blow. I'll say that Beserk 2's axe will win it the judges decision. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 17:27, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  4. I think all Berserk 2 needs to do is flip D. Rex over and its done. CrashBash 18:52, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Rather simple tip-over for Berserk. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 23:10, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Winner: Berserk 2 (5-1)

Round 2[]

Excaliber (14) vs The Steel Avenger[]

Excaliber (14) The Steel Avenger
Excalibur
Steelavenger
Votes for Excaliber
  1. See the same weapon comment on Ultor/Killerhurtz. Matt(Talk) 09:36, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I think Excaliber will do enough damage to Steel Avenger to win a judges, providing it doesn't break down. Llamaman201 (talk) 11:42, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  3. Excaliber's axe is better and the wedge gives it the edge. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 12:43, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Excalibur could certainly break down, but you can never tell when it will happen, so I'll assume that it will survive the battle. During the battle it should be able to use its wedge to position itself and then use the axe to great effect, winning on a judges' decision. Christophee (talk) 15:50, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  5. I think that Excalibur will get a lethal blow, and maybe even overturn the very wobbly Steel Avenger. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 19:40, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  6. Steel Avenger's axe wasn't that good, even by John's admittance. We know Excaliber has a good axe, and if it can avoid breaking down, then it should win. CrashBash 06:44, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  7. As above. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 10:00, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Votes for The Steel Avenger
  1. Both robots will axe each other constantly until one suddenly breaks down. The well-engineered Steel Avenger will last longer than the unreliable Excalibur. Datovidny (talk) 11:24, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Winner: Excaliber (14) (7-1)

Thing 2 vs Berserk 2[]

Thing 2 Berserk 2
Thing2
Berserk 2
Votes for Thing 2
  1. I'm stunned by the lack of confidence in Thing 2 - if it could get under Cerberus then I think it should be able to get under Berserk 2. Its got a better driver and a more conventional and straightforward way of taking out Berserk in one hit. Thing 2. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 12:43, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  2. This one is tough, but I'd like to think that Thing 2 would be able to use its agility and manoeuvrability to avoid Berserk's attacks, and get underneath with the wedge, turning it over and winning the battle. Christophee (talk) 15:50, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  3. I think that Beserk 2 is too slow to avoid Thing 2. I'll say that Thing will run rings around Berserk, who will repeatedly miss it with the axe, Thing will nearly overturn Beserk a lot, and Thing will win on agression and control in a judges decision. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 19:40, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Man, this is tight. I had to think quite hard for this, but....in the end, I decided on Thing 2. Why? Two reasons...speed and ground clearance. On the ground clearance front, I think Thing has the advantage as it is lower at the front than Berserk. True, the sides and back are exposed, but that's where the speed comes in. I reckon it'll be able to dodge Berserk's lifter and bulldoze it around the arena. It might tip it over, it might pit it...there's no point turning it to the House Robots. Either way, though, I think it'll win on a judges decision if it doesn't do so outright. CrashBash 06:44, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Votes for Berserk 2
  1. I think Thing 2 will have its moments, but Berserk 2 only needs one, the lift. Matt(Talk) 09:36, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Agreeing with Matt's logic, Berserk is stable enough to not be toppled by Thing 2's wedge shape, and will only need to use its forklift once to over-balance Thing 2. Datovidny (talk) 11:26, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  3. As above. Llamaman201 (talk) 11:42, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  4. They're both good, but the Thing has a large ground clearance from every side except the front, and that wedge rides up singificantly when Thing turns or reverses. As long as Team Berserk realize this and they don't waste time bothering with the axe, they should get the easy win. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:29, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Going to have to side with RA2's logic. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 10:00, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Winner: Berserk 2 (5-4)

Final[]

Excaliber (14) vs Berserk 2[]

Excaliber (14) Berserk 2
Excalibur
Berserk 2
Votes for Excaliber Votes for Berserk 2
  1. I would love to see both of these robots go through to the semi-finals, but if Berserk can survive Hypno-Disc, it can survive Excaliber. Excaliber on the other hand, cannot self-right. Berserk, as it should have done, through to the semi-finals! Matt(Talk) 10:47, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  2. I have to go with Matt's logic. If Excaliber can't damage Berserk (and lets face it, neither Hypno-Disc OR Shunt could), then it's only a waiting game for the Huddersfield machine....waiting for Excaliber to malfunction. Alternatively, it could flip it over. CrashBash 12:16, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  3. As above. Excaliber's run comes to an end. Llamaman201 (talk) 13:54, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Berserk to walk it due to armour strength. Helloher (Death is not my phone number) 14:19, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  5. Agree with everyone else. /Middle_Eye\(talk) 19:03, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  6. A simple lift of the forklift from Berserk 2 will be enough to overturn and therefore immobilise Excalibur. Datovidny (talk) 20:51, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
  7. I'll add my pointless vote, agreeing with everyone else's logic. Christophee (talk) 22:00, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Winner: Berserk 2 (7-0)

No sweat for Berserk 2, who easily beats Excaliber to make the semis. Matt(Talk) 07:33, September 2, 2011 (UTC)
