Darkness vs Snookums[]

Darkness Snookums
Darkness
Snookums
Votes for Darkness
  1. A pretty uninspiring first battle, but I think that Darkness seemed to have pretty solid pushing power, so I'd say it will pit Snookums. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I concur, Snookums lacks the pushing power, and doesn't have the weapon power to fend off being shoved around for the battle's entirety. Darkness to win on a judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 10:38, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Snookums pitted. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I think Darkness will push Snookums sideways, tipping it over. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Aaarrrr, another very short stint in the arena for the crazy pirate guys. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:07, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  6. A pushing match is likely to come about here, and Darkness looks like it'd be the better pusher. Snookums' snout would make effective pushing very difficult. CrashBash (talk) 20:57, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Snookums
Winner: Darkness (6-0)

Atomic vs Derek 2[]

Atomic Derek 2
AtomicHQ
Derek 2
Votes for Atomic
  1. Atomic is more than a match for Derek, simple flip job, then OotA. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. No question about it, Atomic to flip Derek out of the arena in similar style to Terror Turtle. Datovidny (talk) 10:39, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Atomic to send Derek OotA. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Atomic's wrath has already begun. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  5. No contest. CrashBash (talk) 20:57, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Derek 2
Winner: Atomic (5-0)

The Big Cheese vs Botwork[]

The Big Cheese Botwork
TheBigCheese
Botwork
Votes for The Big Cheese
  1. I'll go for the unexpected result, on the basis of how high Botwork's disc is raised up. I think this gives Roger Plant the potential to lift and put Botwork onto its side. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The disc on Botwork doesn't look low enough to actually get much of a purchase on The Big Cheese to make any impression. On the flip side, Botwork's ground clearance looks plentiful for The Big Cheese to lift it up and topple it onto its side, job done. Datovidny (talk) 10:41, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Botwork in the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. This should be a pretty easy Sir Killaot esque lift-and-pit maneuver. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:08, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Botwork looks like its disc could be easily hooked. Big Cheese will easily have its way from there. CrashBash (talk) 20:57, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Botwork
  1. Both of these robots deserve a place, but ultimately, The Big Cheese has some vulnerable sides, and I can't see Botwork being side-stranded with those fins on the side of it. Overturning it does even less, so Botwork has to take it. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: The Big Cheese (5-1)

Disc-O-Inferno vs Rot Box[]

Disc-O-Inferno Rot Box

Rotbox
Votes for Disc-O-Inferno
  1. Ooh... All of those solid edges... It'll be painful. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The exposed wheels in particular look very suspect, Disc-O-Inferno to romp to victory with Rot Box coming out in pieces. Datovidny (talk) 10:43, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. the wooden bot destroyed. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Party time. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Anvil vs Scutter's Revenge[]

Anvil Scutter's Revenge
Anvil
Scutter's revenge
Votes for Anvil
  1. Nearly voted the elder Scutter's way; however on balence I think that Anvil's superior speed will win the day. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Both have the ability to push the other when facing them, the questions for me are who can do the pushing when both are head-on? and who has the greater chance of getting round the side for a push? My answer to both is the slightly heavier and slightly more nimble Anvil. Datovidny (talk) 10:45, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The series 3 machine out pushed and down the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. It comes down to which robot has the lower wedge, but as I can't judge that, I'll have to use Anvil's speed and Scutter's Revenge's unreliability as a reason to vote for Anvil. I don't necessarily agree with myself for voting this way. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Scutter's Revenge
Winner: Anvil (4-0)

The Revolutionist vs Hefty[]

The Revolutionist Hefty
The Revolutionist
Hefty
Votes for The Revolutionist
  1. Hefty is certainly awkward to cause serious damage to, on account of its shape, but realistically how can it fight back? Revolutionist on a judge's. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The Revolutionist has more damage potential, and the scars will show up more on Hefty's shell. The Revolutionist to win on a judges' decision on damage. Datovidny (talk) 10:46, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The Revolutionist to wreck Hefty. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. How can a robot armed with static spikes do anything to a full-body spinner? ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Not exactly difficult...CrashBash (talk) 20:57, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Winner: The Revolutionist (5-0)

Cataclysmic Variabot vs Shockwave[]

Cataclysmic Variabot Shockwave
CV
Shockwave
Votes for Cataclysmic Variabot
  1. Slightly leaving towards C.V. on account of weaponry, but this one could really go either way. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Definitely an interesting one. As neither robots have a wedge, and Shockwave's weapon will probably stop upon contact, I'll go with Cataclysmic Variabot, it looks like a better pusher. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Shockwave's driving has never been too spactacular and its weapon also doesn't have much torque. CV is a bit more maneuverable and I'm sure a few blows with the axe should give it the points to win. --Headbanger14/The Hardcore Kid 16:56, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Granted Shockwave spent most of its time fighting a robot that was impossible for it to hit, but its weapon didn't look hugely deadly. I think it'll come down to pushing and reliability, which I'm leaning towards CV on. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:25, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Shockwave
  1. My money's on Shockwave, as long as we have no driving errors. Shockwave may have only had a rear weapon that did very little, but I doubt C.V.'s weapon will be any better. Shockwave has more pace about it, and I bet it has slightly more push about it, so it can clinch this on a judges' decision, though I'm not expecting a very lively battle. Datovidny (talk) 10:49, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I believe that Shockwave has the advantage on pushing power and weaponry here. The spinning blade looked okay (though it was too high to hit Anvil), and there appears to be decent power to back up the ramming spikes. It should beat CV on a judges decision or a pitting. ManUCrazy (talk) 10:52, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. C.V. pushed around for the entire fight by Shockwave, who'll win a judges decision. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. TBH, neither robot looked like it had a very effective weapon. But I think Shockwave's is more likely to score hits, giving it points in the aggression category if nothing else. CrashBash (talk) 20:57, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Shockwave (4-4) (2-1 Judge's Decision)

Hammerhead (Dutch) vs The Alien[]

Hammerhead The Alien
Hammerhead 2
Thealien
Votes for Hammerhead
  1. A close one this, but like I said for Botwork, I don't think The Alien is really going to get much of a purchase on Hammerhead 2 because the latter is so low, and on the flip side, Hammerhead 2, if it can get in underneath, has the flipper, and may be able to flip The Alien over, and The Alien's self-righting was always a tad iffy, even if The Alien can right itself, it'll take long enough for Hammerhead 2 to take advantage and continue to push it around, or even flip it again if it begins to right itself. Hammerhead 2 to win on a tight judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 10:51, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The Alien to be pitted. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Pretty much what Dato said. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:11, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for The Alien
  1. I respect Hammerhead as a machine, but that caging on the sides will really suffer here. Torn to shreds. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Hammerhead's flipper was completely unimpressive in my view, so this battle should consist of The Alien getting in a few hits with the hammer to win the judges decision. ManUCrazy (talk) 11:04, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Hammerhead 2 had five minutes to do at least something to Iron Awe 2.1 and Xenomorph, but alas, it did not. A good machine like The Alien can win this battle by doing very little. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the robot who's weapon is likelier to do something...and that means The Alien. CrashBash (talk) 17:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: The Alien (4-3)

Zeus (Italy) vs Wild Thing 2[]

Zeus Wild Thing 2
Italian Zeus
Wild Thing 2 S6
Votes for Zeus
  1. Another very close one, I think the closest of the lot, but, I'm going for the shocker. Zeus may have been ripped to pieces by Black Hole, but I don't think Wild Thing 2 has anywhere near as much destructive capability, with its disc not really making much of an impression. Whilst Wild Thing has a fair amount of push, I feel it's just going to be effortlessly lifted away by Zeus' lifter everytime it comes near it. After being turned over, Wild Thing will be facing away and a stunned, leaving Zeus to do a bit of pushing. Even without the lifter, I feel Zeus has more grunt than Wild Thing. Close, but I feel Zeus will sway the judges' decision into its favour, just. Datovidny (talk) 10:55, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Tough one, but I don't believe Wild Thing 2 had the damage potenial to cause much trouble to Zeus. Zeus on the other hand can gain a lot of aggression points by flipping Wild Thing 2. ManUCrazy (talk) 11:05, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Another good battle, and it's a shame both can't qualify. Wild Thing 2's ground clearance around all sides and general small size is what makes me think Zeus can toss it about for the whole match, possibly pitting it later on. Can Zeus replicate the success of its replica? ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Wild Thing 2
  1. I liked Zeus as a machine, but sadly Wild Thing 2 is a better robot all around. Zeus down the pit. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Zeus to be covered with cuts caused by Wild Thing 2 at the end of the fight, which Wild thing 2 will win via judges decision. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Zeus' flipper looked a lot less impressive than in my battles. The flipper was slow and looked like it needed some lube. Wild Thing's disc worked occasionally, and if it can just stay at the unprotected sides, it should outweigh an invertible bot getting flipped a couple times. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:14, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Whilst Zeus will likely stay in one piece, I can't see it defeating the quicker, more agile and more experienced Wild Thing 2. Its flipper didn't even look THAT good, TBH, and Wild Thing refuses to die. CrashBash (talk) 20:57, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Wild Thing 2 (4-3)

Xenomorph vs Splinter[]

Xenomorph Splinter
Xenomorph
Splinter
Votes for Xenomorph Votes for Splinter
  1. Surely Splinter has the measure of a pushing match here? MattRobot WarsTalk to me 10:34, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Shame, I like Xenomorph, and if it had any kind of pace it would've been a dark horse in the Seventh Wars, probably not in the heat it was given, but even so. But here, I don't think Splinter quite has the power to push Xenomorph around, the latter looked a grippy one, but Splinter can cause aggrovation and damage, clamping the wheels with its side axes and coming down with the third. If Xenomorph isn't immobilised by its wheels being buffeted, then Splinter has it on an easy judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 10:58, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Splinter has a easy fight here. Sam (BAZINGA) 13:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Xenomorph had five minutes to do at least something to Iron Awe 2.1 and Hammerhead 2, but alas, it did not. Xenomorph looks very easy to scoop up and shove around. ToastUltimatum 16:03, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Splinter (4-0)

Snake Bite (Swiss) vs Iron Awe[]

Snake Bite Iron Awe
Snake bite
Iron-awe1
Votes for Snake Bite
  1. If it was a later Iron Awe, it'd be no contest. However, the speed and general reliability of the original Iron Awe was pretty much non-existent. I know Snake Bite isn't exactly the most reliable here either, but under the circumstances, it will still get a few grips, if not neccessarily punctures. CrashBash (talk) 18:28, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. In terms of who's most likely to die first, about even. In terms of who can cause the more damage to knock the other out, I go for Snake Bite and the half decent claw over Iron Awe's small axe. Datovidny (talk) 19:23, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Not much that the average old Iron Awe could do here. Snake Bite has the weaponry advantage, though Iron Awe is probably the better controller and more nimble machine. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:31, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Iron Awe wouldn't get much of a purchase on Snake Bite anyway, it can only really hit the crusher. The front of Iron Awe was very grabbable. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Iron Awe pierced multiple times and pitted. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Iron Awe
  1. I have to side for Iron Awe here, because no part of the Grimm machine is low enough for Snake Bite to pinch it. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I don't trust Snake Bite to make any holes, Iron Awe's much tougher than Terror Turtle. Iron Awe may be clumsy, but Snake Bite is fragile and should succumb. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 00:04, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Snake Bite (5-2)

Mazakari vs Panzer Wraith[]

Mazakari Panzer Wraith
Mazakari
Panzer wraith
Votes for Mazakari Votes for Panzer Wraith
  1. Mazakari was not a good machine, and Panzer Wraith was average, so I see a pushing match ensuing, with Panzer the clear winner. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Mazakari's blade wasn't even remotely fast enough to cause any damage. Panzer should have an advantage in pushing power. CrashBash (talk) 18:29, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Not a bad blade on Mazakari, but I doubt it'll be able to shred the tracks. Whilst Panzer Wraith had a little saw that probably could cause some scratches that could (just) swing a judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 19:29, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I'd assume that Panzer Wraith had the pushing power of its predecessor, so it should win the fight on aggression. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:32, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Mazakari's weapon will pretty much be attacking underneath Panzer Wraith, causing no harm at all. Panzer Wraith will then ride all over Mazakari, maybe damaging the aerial. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Panzer Wrath to push Mazakari around and down the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Panzer Wraith (6-0)

$6 Million Mouse vs Phoenix[]

$6 Million Mouse Phoenix
6 Mouse
Phoenix
Votes for $6 Million Mouse
  1. Phoenix is simply too old to stand up to the Mouse here. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I don't see what a tiny set of scissor blades are going to do...maybe scratch a bit of the Mouse's fur...maybe...CrashBash (talk) 18:33, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The Mouse wasn't exactly brilliant, but could occasionally cause good damage. This is one of those occasions. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:01, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Not really sure I know enough about the Mouse to make a proper opinion, but I don't think Phoenix can do any damage at all, so anything the Mouse can do is something. Datovidny (talk) 19:32, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I know very little about this machine... But I know everything I need to know about Phoenix. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  6. The Mouse to beat a immortal bird named machine. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Phoenix
Winner: $6 Million Mouse (6-0)

Leveler 2 vs Night Stalker[]

Leveler 2 Night Stalker
Leveler 2
Nightstalker
Votes for Leveler 2
  1. Night Stalker does not look invertible to me, so one flip from Leveler could settle this. I shall follow Leveler's progress closely, I sniff a dark horse. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I agree with Matt, I do find Leveler 2 a little bit under-rated. It wasn't a bad robot by any means. Night Stalker meanwhile only managed to knock off Basenji's saw and then ended up folding up and falling apart. And it has no srimech. Obvious, much? CrashBash (talk) 18:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Night Stalker was awful. Leveler 2, despite being vulnerable to spinners, has a good flipper, and will get the knockout. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:04, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Whilst Night Stalker could cause Leveler 2 some problems, it was unable to self-right, and is faced with a robot that got underneath something as low as Tornado several times. Datovidny (talk) 19:34, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I can't see anybody levelling the scores. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Night Stalker to be overturned. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

RT81 vs Red Virus[]

RT81 Red Virus
Rt81
Redvirus
Votes for RT81 Votes for Red Virus
  1. Neither robot impresses me particularly, but I think that Red Virus simply MUST have a speed and pushing advantage here. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Red Virus has the better weapon, the better manuverability....heck, the better EVERYTHING! CrashBash (talk) 18:37, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. RT81 would take 81 hours to move a few feet. Red Virus would surely win this one, barring a shock breakdown. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:07, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I totally agree with Matt's first statement, but I feel its just going to be won by Red Virus running at RT81 several times before retreating and then coming back again. Datovidny (talk) 19:37, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  5. RT81 had a high ground clearance, that probably means something. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  6. The walking RT81 to be toppled. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Red Virus (6-0)

Velocirippa vs Binky[]

Velocirippa Binky
Velocirippa7
Binky
Votes for Velocirippa
  1. If Velocirippa is sensible, it will just shove Binky around the arena. If Binky isn't pitted and doesn't break down, it should take a judge's with ease. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Well, it's nice to see that Velocirippa can actually win something here. There's nothing Binky can do to it, and it should break down quicker than Velocirippa surely will. I'm sorry, but I seriously cannot believe Binky can go 50mph...CrashBash (talk) 18:38, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Binky looked out of sorts against Aggrobot. Velocirippa, despite having a Robot Wars record nothing short of an embarrassment, should at least show some of its non RW pedigree here, by ramming its way to a win. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Neither looks capable of going further than the next round, and neither actually seems capable of doing anything to the other in this battle. However, I back Velocirippa purely for being the more energetic and stylish throughout the battle. Datovidny (talk) 19:40, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  5. The dinosaur based bot to ram Binky until Binky dies. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Binky
  1. We certainly know Binky was a speedy little blighter, and Velocirippa seems to have too vulnerable of a ground clearance. Velocirippa might have the weapon, but if Binky's lower, they'll just ride up Binky, which can then pit Velocirippa. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Velocirippa (5-1)

Psychokiller vs Destructosaur[]

Psychokiller Destructosaur
Psychokiller
Destructosaur
Votes for Psychokiller
  1. I think that Psychokiller may have the advantage here, on one major factor - a wedge. This gives Psychokiller a major pushing advantage, and so I see Destructosaur in the pit. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Neither robot impressed me in the slightest, but realistically, an axe is more likely to hit its target than a set of pincers. CrashBash (talk) 18:41, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. George Francis was afraid of Destructosaur, But I don't think his fear was justified. Psychokiller had a decent wedge that dogged Dreadnaut a couple of times, whilst Destructosaur's pincers, did they even lie flush with the ground? If not, I can't see how they can even get a hold on it. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 00:02, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Destructosaur
  1. Psychokiller's side armour was actually pierced by Dreadnought's lifting spikes. Therefore I imagine the front pincers of Destructosaur doing so as well, because of their sharp nature, even if it doesn't grip its opponent. Destructosaur to win on damage points. ManUCrazy (talk) 18:59, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Another battle between two robots that proved fairly unremarkable, no offense, literally. Actually, that last bit wasn't quite fair, as Destructosaur's pincer could actually do some serious damage to Psychokiller's side, assuming it can get a purchase, and perhaps just swing a judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 19:44, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Tough call, but these arguments sway me more. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Psychokiller to be dominated by Destructosaur. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:35, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Destructosaur (4-3)

T-Wrecks vs Hot Pants[]

T-Wrecks Hot Pants
T-Wrecks
Hotpants
Votes for T-Wrecks
  1. Whilst I like Hot Pants, I don't think the axe was necessarily all that powerful, and whilst T-Wrecks might not have been the strongest, I'm sure it could cause enough of a knock to dislodge the removal link, since it only took a light push from the Hassocks Hog to dislodge it the first time. Datovidny (talk) 19:46, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. T Wrecks was designed specifically to stand up to axes, and Hot Pants' was hardly menacing. It also had poor reliability, so T Wrex to win by knockout. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 23:49, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Hot Pants
  1. That large axe makes the flat top of T-Wrecks mighty suspect if you ask me... MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:22, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  2. It's funny...the centre of T-Wrecks looks like a little target...perfect, methinks, for Hot Pants to hit...CrashBash (talk) 18:42, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I'm not convinced that Hot Pants can cause any game ending damage. However, the official weakness of T-Wrecks was supposed to be an exposed aerial, so I suppose that any overhead weapon that works could knock that loose. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:38, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. T-Wrecks had an exposed receiver, and generally looks very fun to axe. Additionally, I can't see T-Wrecks being very effective as a sit-and-spinner, the blades were facing outwards. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

  3. Finally a robot that I'm impressed by, funnily enough against a robot that won't just give up so easily. Mind you, Robochicken's flipper was pretty harsh, it may only take one crucial flip to do something inside URO, and then it's game over. Datovidny (talk) 19:49, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

  2. I hate judging battles over robots that never actually fought. It doesn't look, though, like Daisy can do anything to Skarab. Won't be interesting, but Skarab takes the judges. CrashBash (talk) 18:47, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Call my vote invalid if you wish, but I'm voting for Skarab purely for the fact that we know it could perform a little, reaching the heat final, whereas we only know that Daisy was too poorly to even enter the arena. Datovidny (talk) 19:51, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Daisy had four wheels, but a small size and a poor shape for pushing. Therefore, I assume Skarab was the better pushing robot, and is superior on that basis. ToastUltimatum 20:30, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

  1. The first machine that many are going to care about falls. Flat tops are easy pickings for Dominator. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 16:04, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Crusader looked so great...but its battle against Mortis showed it wasn't really too resilient against axes. Enough of those may well render it immobile on one side again, and as we saw last time, its duel chain system didn't always work. CrashBash (talk) 16:44, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Its a shame, especially as Crusader won't really be able to show off any of its good side, Dominator 2 to axe Crusader constantly, leaving the latter unable to break free and swing a judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 17:00, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  2. 3 Stegs is slightly under-rated. I think it could do what it wanted to Maximus, who just sorta died under mild pressure. CrashBash (talk) 16:44, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Both are quite sluggish, so my vote goes to the robot that will leave the most scars with its weapon before the judges have to choose. Datovidny (talk) 17:01, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Shame there are so many fights between good robots then we get one between a mediocre machine and a terribly designed one. ManUCrazy (talk) 17:13, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Maximus to cut into multi times by 3 Stegs, giving the dinosaur robot the win. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:39, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Maximus was a sad, sad machine. It should have gone out in Round 1 of the New Blood in the first place, it only 'proved its mobility' by moving its ill-designed weapon, and then after barely even moving in the next round, Roobarb can't even get it out of the arena for a send-off. 3 Stegs to Heaven will win by moving, Maximus does not qualify for Ragnabot. 2. I have no real reason for voting for ORAC other than I know it can actually move. CrashBash (talk) 16:45, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I'm pleased to think that I'll see ORAC's Revenge, a mild favourite of mine, win a battle. Vortex Inducer hs the presence, but ORAC's Revenge was smart enough to take it from the side and nag. ORAC's Revenge doesn't have any KO factor at all, and the battle will fall to the judges unless Vortex Inducer breaks down. Either way, my money's on ORAC's Revenge. Datovidny (talk) 17:03, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  2. R.O.C.S. might be vulnerable to flippers, but a pair of small electric lifting forks attached to an equally slow robot isn't going to bother it. If it can't crush The Creature, it can certainly clamp, then pit it. CrashBash (talk) 16:46, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Another battle between two slow ones, but I back ROCS for its damage potential. The Creature won't be able to flip ROCS, and won't find a win here unless ROCS breaks down, which I doubt considering the speed of the battle. Either ROCS to crush in and find The Creature's weak spot or ROCS to win on a judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 17:05, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  1. I will confess, I am sorta judging Lightning Tracks based on its performance in Robotica instead of Robot Wars, but it frankly didn't look any more impressive than Darke Destroyer 2 did. DD2 could still push its opponents around and LT wasn't all that reliable from what I remember either. Wagglers or not, DD2 will win. CrashBash (talk) 16:49, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Lightning Tracks
  1. Lightning Tracks is truly an unknown quantity, but against wagglers unknown is an advantage. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 16:04, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Darke Destroyer 2 wasn't the most stable, i.e. it was a bit top-heavy. Whilst DD2 did have some push, it was still one wheel drive and it faced with a robot with tracks. Unless Lightning Tracks suffers a break-down, I'm backing it. Datovidny (talk) 17:09, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The tracked machine to ram Darke Destroyer down the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:39, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Lightning Tracks, judging from its Robotica appearance, looked as if it had sufficient power to simply topple DD2. ManUCrazy (talk) 17:42, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  1. "Ceros actually lost to Twister in the qualifiers for Series 7." - Ceros' wikia entry. CrashBash (talk) 16:49, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Previous encounter aside, I'm not fully sold on Ceros from the reliability side of things, it almost broke down against Ming Dienasty, and was limping before flying out of the arena in the Heat Final, and here it's up against a spinner which didn't exactly look flimsy, and a spinner that would hit it if Ceros got anywhere near. Particularly due to the shape of Ceros' flipper, it would have to get right up close to Twister to flip, so would have to stand up to the spinning bar, which I don't think it would be able to do very well. Besides, Twister was invertible, and if it lands on its bar, I'm sure it could force itself down again. Datovidny (talk) 17:12, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Twister looks a bit too destructive for Ceros to handle. Invertability helps a lot too. ManUCrazy (talk) 17:19, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  4. A repeat of its qualifer. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:39, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  5. If I didn't know about that qualifier, I probably would have voted for Ceros, Twister has a high ground clearance, and it's a very fun shape to toss here, there, and everywhere. But if Twister won the qualifier, and it is invertible after all, I suppose it's got the upper hand on Ceros. ToastUltimatum 20:34, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  2. I think Diotoir may well have the more efficient lifting weapon. Furthermore, I also suspect Pika's won't work properly upside down. CrashBash (talk) 16:50, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I concur, Diotoir can lift Pika from the side and just leave its scoop raised, so it'll be able to carry it around anywhere, i.e. the pit. Datovidny (talk) 17:13, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  1. It'll be too painful to watch. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 16:04, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  2. It's a no brainer. X-Terminator has the far superior weapon, and Bee-Capitator is so lightweight, it'll be easy to flip, most likely on the first shot. And if it does go over on the first shot, not even the (pathetically remote) possibility of its fur clogging X-Terminator's flywheel will save it. Also, a little nitpick...if we're claiming this version of X-Terminator to be X-Terminator 3, what are we considering to be X-Terminator 2? CrashBash (talk) 16:55, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  3. We'll either see the quick thrust onto its back, or we'll watch Bee Capitator be ripped to shreds, cruelly. Datovidny (talk) 17:15, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Pity Plunderbird 5 has to fall early, but King B Powerworks has the more potent weapon (I.E. It works) and will probably deal with it like it did with Draven. Still, I get the feeling it won't be the last we see of Plunderbird...right? CrashBash (talk) 16:57, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
For this competition, sadly, it is. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:34, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
Huh? How come? I thought we were using multiple versions of the robots? CrashBash (talk) 17:39, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
We do have multiple versions of certain robots, but only in cases where there is a significant design change, for example Ming. I think that Plunderbird unfortunately falls into a category where although Plunderbird 1 and 5 are significantly different, there is not sufficient difference between each new incarnation to warrant extra entries. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:13, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
I think there's a pretty big difference between Plunderbird 4 and both Plunderbird 5 and Plunderstorm. I would have put those three in, myself, but I assume it's too late now. ToastUltimatum 22:56, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  3. It pains me to knock out Plunderbird 5, but I'm glad to see King B go through, and that this set is over. The claw won't be able to grab King B at all, but King B can get hit Plunderbird 5, impaling the thin armour with its sharp tips on the lifter, giving it a damage advantage, I don't think Plunderbird 5 will let King B get away with the ol' Panic Attack routine, because it's too big and has a high ground clearance, but I can't see how Plunderbird 5 can make up its own points, as King B is just too slippery. Datovidny (talk) 17:22, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  4. King B to pit Plunderbird 5, copying Panic Attack's signature attack. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:39, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I thought of voting the other way. Plunderbird 5 should be lower, after which King B Powerworks will be a lovely fit for the slicer dicer. Unfortunately though, if that does happen, King B Powerworks can flee after so long, and then play hard to catch for the whole match, landing attacks along the way. 2. Geesh, this is a travesty. We've got a robot that can hardly move under its own power against a robot that is quite possibly the most ill-equipped to actually fight in the Robot Wars arena I can possibly imagine. However, since it CAN actually move, I will give it the benefit of the doubt...although I wouldn't be surprised if it falls apart or even just breaks down. CrashBash (talk) 17:24, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  3. It'll bounce around the arena but it'll win as Scarab will barely move. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:37, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Neither robot was in the least bit impressive but Monad certainly has much more speed than Scarab. It should win in a ramming match. --Headbanger14/The Hardcore Kid 00:30, February 24, 2013 (UTC)

  1. I'll go for a ridiculous upset, as Monad flips itself over charging at Scarab, with its speed, ground clearance and high centre of gravity. ManUCrazy (talk) 18:45, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Being legged, Scarab will be hard for Monad to push, which is all Monad can do. And it does that very poorly. Scarab was a shufflebot, IIRC, so it should be agile enough to win. I haven't watched Scarab's battle in over a year though. ToastUltimatum 19:07, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Despite the petrol engine, I concur that Monad had little in the way of pushing power. In fairness, this could be a dull stalemate, where Monad charges, gets stuck in the jaws and Scarab spends the remainder of the battle slowly pushing back on Monad to get the judges' decision, but to be honest Monad may well bust a gut and break down trying to push against it. Datovidny (talk) 22:06, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Scarab may have been slow, but it looked solid. It won't fall apart just from doing laps around the arena, and for that reason will win. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 00:39, February 24, 2013 (UTC)

  1. I Bot does not look massively strong, but those pincers look like they could do some damage. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:13, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The german machine looks like it'd fit nicely in those pincers, IB1B down the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:37, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Whilst I Bot One Beta was quicker, it only needs to be grabbed by those jaws once, and then Scarab will be able to get right into the innards of the German bot, it could then pierce further to immobilise it, or try and shove it into an arena hazard (less likely). Datovidny (talk) 22:08, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Not confident in IB1β's damage potential after it failed to do much in its matches. It's small enough to fit inside Scarab's pincers and I don't think it will win that pushing match. Should end via pit. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 00:46, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for I Bot One Beta
  1. Scarab's weapon may look more impressive, but in a battle of speed, it'll fall to I Bot's bars. I doubt Scarab will be able to use its pincers effectively, and I Bot will just keep getting around the sides and keep hitting and evading. Judges decision, takes the win. CrashBash (talk) 17:26, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I am extremely tempted to go with Scarab (and I might even still change my mind), but it comes down to whether I Bot One Beta will be trapped in the pincers and squeezed (with 2.5 tonnes, claim the team), or whether those small blades could at least knock something loose from inside Scarab, like the arena spikes did. ManUCrazy (talk) 18:35, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I Bot One Beta certainly looks the perfect robot to be grabbed, but if Scarab can't win the pushing battle, it's in trouble. Additionally, I Bot One Beta has the higher damage potential, so I'm going to support it. ToastUltimatum 19:07, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Scarab (4-3)

Thunderpants vs Reactor 2[]

Thunderpants Reactor 2
Thunderpants
Reactor2
Votes for Thunderpants
  1. Reactor 2 was lucky in the sense that it was faced with two tiny twins in Gemini to flip around (which it barely managed), and a top heavy robot with exposed wheels (which it luckily caught on one wheel). Thunderpants won't be so easy to flip, it's too big, heavy and awkward for Reactor 2 to flip properly. Reactor 2 also only had a top speed of around 8mph, a speed that Thunderpants could exceed. Thunderpants' hammer wasn't exactly Thor's, but I feel it will win on a judges' decision by having more attacks in, attacks that would have more promise than a light lift from the tiny flipper. Datovidny (talk) 22:12, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Reactor 2 also has an axe, you know. CrashBash (talk) 22:17, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Reactor 2
  1. Thunderpants was unlucky in the fact it couldn't take to the arena, so I won't count unreliability. I still think that Reactor probably has the advantage and will flip Thunderpants over. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:13, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  2. As with Daisy, I'm going to have to side with the robot who I know actually works. Besides, I'd trust a flipper over a hammer any day, especially one like Reactor's. CrashBash (talk) 17:27, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Thunderpants on its side and out. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:37, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Reactor 2, the machine that keeps going and going, versus the robot that wouldn't even go in the first place. ManUCrazy (talk) 18:31, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I'm not sure if Thunderpants would be able to self-right. ToastUltimatum 19:07, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

  1. I think our American competitor can probably rip in to Sting's fairly flimsy shell with its drum. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:13, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Brute was persistent if nothing else. I can imagine it just bulldozing Sting around wherever it wants. Besides, its weapon will probably cause damage, unlike Sting's. CrashBash (talk) 17:28, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Sting out. Sam (BAZINGA) 17:37, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Brute prevailed over a fair few opponents, it must be good enough to beat a Series 3 robot with no wins. ToastUltimatum 19:07, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I don't think you'll be able to see the damage, but even so, Brute will win this on a judges' decision on Aggression and Damage, as Sting 2 should just about be alive by the end. Datovidny (talk) 22:13, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

  6. When I watched Herbinator's heat, I was also growing up watching the Herbie films, and I really wanted it to go through, but I soon realised that it wasn't particularly comparitively impressive against flippers, and against one such as Bulldog Breed, it'll be off its wheels in seconds. Joker vs Armadrillo[]

Joker Armadrillo

Votes for Joker
  1. Another rather uninteresting battle. However, I do not suspect that Armadrillo is fast enough to do anything to Joker, least of all knock its link out...so I'll give, essentially, the American Velocirippa the benefit of the doubt. CrashBash (talk) 18:11, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Joker's flailing hooks were never all that effective but it still managed to look aggressive when it could. Armadrillo I found to be too slow and didn't really have much potential at all. I give it to Joker. --Headbanger14/The Hardcore Kid 21:31, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Niehter can push, neither can really cause damage, but Armadrillo looked too sluggish, and even got caught on the arena floor, so I'm backing Joker to win on a judges' decision on Style and Control. Datovidny (talk) 07:55, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Armadrillo
  1. Armadrillo seems to be a solid pusher, and Joker's 0-5 record does not seem mightily impressive to me. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:03, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Armadrillo seemed to be holding off Roobarb decently enough, and only went sluggish after S3 hit it. We've seen Joker take on robots with worse armour, and do nothing even when it gets numerous direct hits. Pushing should cut it. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:32, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The Joker out by having its link knocked off. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:41, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I considered not voting, seeing as I know little about either robot, but the arguments on this side seem convincing. ToastUltimatum 22:53, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

  3. I don't think Project 2 will get very far, but it at least his this one, since Spin Doctor couldn't recover from even a slight push jab, or even running into the other robot itself. Flipper or no, P2's wedge should do it in. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:23, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Robocow Weeliwako
Robocow

Votes for Robocow
  1. I can see those lances keeping Weeliwako under control, where Robocow can then push Weeliwako about. Hardly exciting stuff, but it earns control points for Robocow, and nothing for Weeliwako. ToastUltimatum 22:53, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I'd back Weeliwako if it had a lot of force behind its whacks, but it doesn't, so I back Robocow to use its front forks to try and steer it about, almost like Evil Weevil vs Flip Flop Fly, only without the puncture. Datovidny (talk) 07:58, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Weeliwako
  1. A tough one, but I think that on Style and Control, Weeliwako has an edge. It'll take a judge's decision though. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:03, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Robocow was slow, and we didn't se much of its weapon, whereas Wheeliwacko had no weapon potentcy but was at least a fluid mover. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:13, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

  4. Robocow out. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:41, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Bash Gordon vs All Torque[]

Bash Gordon All Torque
Bash Gordon
All Torque 2
Votes for Bash Gordon
  1. While I don't see Bash Gordon doing much damage, the top of All Torque is nice and flat, so it can receive a hammering. All Torque has some nice tires, but Bash Gordon has the weight advantage, and newer tech (in theory), so while All Torque might be the better pusher, it won't be by enough to win the Judges' decision. ToastUltimatum 22:53, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. If Bash Gordon is on form, then this could be an upset. It would have the speed to dodge away from All Torque's strikes, and then come in with the axe to pierce. Also, I can't help but feel that Bash Gordon has All Torque for power. Bash Gordon crashed out for dying down one side, I don't think All Torque has the same KO power as Cedric Slammer. Datovidny (talk) 08:02, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for All Torque
  1. Backing the elder machine, which was a solid pusher, even though the Series 3 incarnation got little opportunity to prove it. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:03, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Bash Gordon looks like it has a nice ground clearance for All Torque to get under and dominate. I hope All Torque does well, if nothing else due to its successors. CrashBash (talk) 18:21, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  3. All Torque to bash Bash Gordon's lights out. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:41, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I'm assuming that All Torque could still outpush Matilda. Gordon had thin armour and was really big; should be suceptible to broadsiding. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 00:14, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Bash Gordon doesn't have the weaponry or armour to survive. ManUCrazy (talk) 01:31, February 26, 2013 (UTC)

  1. What a dull battle this'll be, but Dreadnaut did step up slightly in Series 4, so I'll go for that over Immortalis. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 18:03, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Immortalis
  1. Immortalis should have the ground clearance advantage at the front, as well as the weight advantage, so it should be the superior robot for pushing. Without a baseplate, Immortalis will be very difficult for Dreadnaught to flip, even if it does somehow get underneath Immortalis. Immortalis can then use its own pushing power and weapons to win via pitting or a Judges' decision. ToastUltimatum 22:53, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I don't know the exact circumstances of Immortalis' breakdown, but its scoop looked the business. Neither robot was stellar mind you, but Dreadnaut's small frame and weight disadvantage should make it pretty easy for Immortalis to roll it onto its back. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 00:17, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Dreadnaut is no machine that can outlast a Team Death robot. It died for no reason in Series 3, even with the house robots attacking Trident. It'll come down to weaponry, and Immortalis wins it here. ManUCrazy (talk) 01:29, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I wonder how many people will vote against Immortalis JUST because it's a Team Death robot? Not a very interesting fight, neither can do anything to the other...I initially voted for Dreadnaut, but the arguments presented here are more convincing, so I'm changing my mind. End of day, reliability will be Dreadnaut's undoing, and it couldn't do much with those forklifts anyway CrashBash (talk) 18:27, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I back neither to survive, but Immortalis to be winning up until that point for having the lower scoop to push. Datovidny (talk) 08:03, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

  1. The armour covering the wheels came slightly out, which may make the difference and prevent the wheels from being severely buckled. 3. As much as Rex Garrod was an innovator and genius, his bot wasn't designed for Series 7 standards. That dome was bending and warping like crazy, and there's no doubt in my mind that a hit from scrapper's disc could seriously damage it. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:26, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  4. The Scrapper's disc looked the business, and those recycled materials looked very flimsy. Mortis warped it just by pressing against it, a Series 7 flywheel will put loads of slashes in there. ToastUltimatum 21:41, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Recyclopse
  1. Different Scrapper, but surprisingly same result if you ask me. The front of Scrapper shows itself immediately as a potential place to put the tongue. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 19:34, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Well, the disc will struggle to get a proper purchase on the curved sides, and its broad sides make The Scrapper susceptible to being left on its side after being flipped. Recyclopse had the power behind its flipper, just ask Matilda, but it may not have the power to whack The Scrapper right over, so a simple prop onto its side sounds about right. Datovidny (talk) 21:11, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: The Scrapper (4-2)

Votes for The Hassocks Hog 2
  1. I think the Hassocks probably has a good chance of getting round the back of The Gap and throwing it onto its back. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 19:34, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The Hassocks Hog 2 was more reliable and would be more capable of getting around to the side of The Gap and tip it over. Sam (BAZINGA) 20:48, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for The Gap
  1. I trust The Gap, both on weapon capability and reliability. CrashBash (talk) 20:29, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The Gap was just far too awkward to flip about, in shape and size. On the flip side, Hassocks Hog 2 can be flipped much easier, and I don't know if the flipper could flip it back onto its wheels, if it falls in the same manner that it did in Series 7, even if the flipper is working. Datovidny (talk) 21:13, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The Gap was enormous, flipping it over will be much easier said than done. Especially with Hassock's tiny blade that has a surface area of about an inch. I supect it will not be able to self right after being flipped a few times, or just get stuck sideways thanks to those stabilizing ears. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:30, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  4. The Gap has a much more potent weapon while Hassocks Hog was a little too slow and its flipper too small. One good flip from The Gap should do it in. --Headbanger14/The Hardcore Kid 21:36, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  5. The sides of The Gap seem low, and with its large sides, it would need to be pushed quite far after having been lifted to be overturned. The Gap can just lift The Hassocks Hog 2, and it will go over. ToastUltimatum 21:52, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: The Gap (5-2)

  1. Ah the dreaded brother vs brother battle. Adam Clark will have his hands tied driving both machines, but there's no doubt who will win. The weight factor here is seven for anyone interested. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 19:34, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I can just see people making some rediculous claim that VoA can win...I really just can. But I can't see it ending any other way. CrashBash (talk) 20:31, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Vector of Armageddon was too light to do anything here. Sam (BAZINGA) 20:49, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

That is brilliant Stalwart :) Sam (BAZINGA) 21:08, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I would back Vector of Armageddon for having the lower ground clearance, but instead I shall back the robot with more weight and the greater power behind it. Datovidny (talk) 21:15, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  6. If Vector of Armageddon were a heavyweight, I'd probably back it, it looks to have a better ground clearance, but Corporal Punishment will have the pushing advantage, even if it doesn't get underneath its opponent. Adam Clark will probably park his inferior machine in front of the pit, and then use his superior machine to push it into the pit. Thank heck this battle won't be televised. Votes for Flipper
  1. As the last battle of this batch, I'm going to go for the upset. Flipper was pretty nippy, and had the front wedge that could really make the most of that ground clearance. I don't see Bluemax knocking out Flipper, so I'm backing Flipper to win a fairly low scoring judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 21:24, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Bluemax
  1. Bluemax may not be capable of doing much, but Flipper flat out just died. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 19:34, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Don't exactly trust either to do well, but again I agree. CrashBash (talk) 20:33, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Bluemax may have been light but it was the better looking machine and will win by pitting the dolphin based robot. Sam (BAZINGA) 20:51, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I don't think either fo thes bots will make it to round 3, but Bluemax at least has the speed that it could bump Flipper a bit and get away before Flipper returns fire. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 21:32, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Buzz to be axed to death, or it'll lose via judges decision. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:29, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  3. How many more qualifiers are there, exactly? Anyway, I trust Killertron's weapon to show better aggression than Buzz's if nothing else. Killertron is quite big and bulky, and probably won't be easy to flip, especially sideways. CrashBash (talk) 18:37, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
    I'd say 96 qualifiers if there's 12 heats or 128 qualifiers if there's 16 heats, CrashBash. Sam (BAZINGA) 19:18, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. If Killertron didn't have those poles on the side, I'd be tempted to vote the other way. However, it does, so Buzz will find it very hard to get the flip. ToastUltimatum 19:20, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Easy win here for TAN. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:30, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  3. TAN can do all sorts to The Mule, but The Mule can't really do anything. It may be well engineered by Series 2 standards, but a small forklift and two bars that just flick out a few inches don't compare to a massive clamp. CrashBash (talk) 18:39, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Interesting match in concept, with the Mule having kicking legs on the sides TAN will want to grab, but ultimately, Tough As Nails has much more power behind it. ToastUltimatum 19:20, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

  3. Tiberius will almost certainly have its way. I seem to recall Sonic occasionally wheelying, which won't help it...and those tyres look suspect. CrashBash (talk) 18:40, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Even if Tiberius 3 can't get a hold of Sonic, what is Sonic actually doing to win? ToastUltimatum 19:20, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Tiberius has better protection and lower ground clearance. Plus those exposed wheels of Sonic look like excellent targets for Tiberius to sink that crusher into. StalwartUK 20:16, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Tiberius potentially has the ability to puncture the tyres or merely hoist Sonic up with the claw and carry it over to the pit. However, due to its pointed wedge and Tiberius' low ground clearance, Sonic can't really do anything. Datovidny (talk) 07:50, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

  3. The weapons of both machines are not exactly spectacular, but Loco also had a very high ground clearance...Cassius didn't even need to use its flipper to overturn it. Basenji should be able to do just that. CrashBash (talk) 18:41, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. My favourite American robot progresses for the above reasons. ToastUltimatum 19:20, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Mobot hammered to death. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:32, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I don't even really know how Mobot's weapon is meant to work. Bondi-Titch will show much better aggression. CrashBash (talk) 18:42, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Mobot has so much armour, there's no way it can be made out of anything solid and still be within the weight limit. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 19:23, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Mobot to be bludgeoned to bits. StalwartUK 20:14, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Mobot
  1. Cannon Fodder, the team calls it, but I'm not so sure. The main thing for me is that Mobot only has to touch Bondi-Titch, while Bondi-Titch has to strike with the hammer. Mobot's armour, while aluminium, is pretty thick and should serve well enough, and Bondi-Titch's armour was fairly weak looking polycarbonate. Therefore, I edge it to Mobot on damage. ToastUltimatum 19:20, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  2. In fairness, at the end, Mobot may have a dent or two from the hammer, but Bondi-Titch will have a few slices that would swing the decision. Datovidny (talk) 07:53, March 5, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Bondi-Titch (5-2)

Votes for Killer Carrot 2
  1. I think the carrot will be able to lift up Close Enough and push it around and down the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:33, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I have to give it to the Carrot because Close Enough wasn't particularly fast, and its gas engine stalled out in both of its battles. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 18:39, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Reliability, thy name ist not Close Enough. That'll do it for the American machine. CrashBash (talk) 18:43, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Killer Carrot can win this through greater aggression. ManUCrazy (talk) 22:06, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  5. The ground clearance is there, so Killer Carrot 2, even if it doesn't manage to flip it about, will still win the judges' decision by shoving it around the arena. Datovidny (talk) 07:54, March 5, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Killer Carrot 2 (5-1)

Oblivion 2 vs Wowot[]

Oblivion 2 Wowot
Oblivion2
Wowot
Votes for Oblivion 2
  1. Neither machine can go far, as both will most likely die the moment they get hit. But here's the question...who is likely to hit the other first? The answer is Oblivion, because its weapon works. Wowot's jaw is useless...I'm sorry, but it is. And a good hit with Oblivion's axe will silence it. CrashBash (talk) 18:44, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I'm sorry but I just can't take Wowot seriously. I mean what can it do with that... uhm... arm? At least Oblivion has an axe that should able to hit those delicate bits and cause something to fly off or something. StalwartUK 20:09, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Wowot
  1. Wowot is simply too complicated to go very far, but I think it has the measure of Oblivion 2. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:59, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Oblivion 2 to break down after a couple of hits from Wowot. Sam (BAZINGA) 18:34, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I would be on the other side, had Wowot not been up against a a flat boxy robot before. Once it presses down on Oblivion's top, Oblivion can't fire the axe, and Wowot controls the match. Plus the axe didn't look all that potent, for some reason it was a lot stronger when it was pulling back than when it was firing. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 19:06, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. If it weren't for the idea of Wowot pressing down on Oblivion 2, I'd vote the other way. The claw looks a prime target for an axing, but apparently Wowot does more than one would think. ToastUltimatum 19:31, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Wowot's arm can press against the top of Oblivion, or if it could line up with the ground, clamp it. Oblviion's weapon wasn't imprressive. ManUCrazy (talk) 22:07, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  6. We saw what Wowot could do t Lambsy before it died, so I can imagine Oblivion 2 would be as easy to haul around. Datovidny (talk) 07:55, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

  3. I don't think you need a detailed answer. Even by S3 standards, Blade was a pretty decent robot, with exceptional armour and above average pushing power...A-Kill was pretty much laughable from start to finish. CrashBash (talk) 18:46, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Phew, my favourite robot of Series 3 safely through to the tournament. ToastUltimatum 19:31, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Between a semi-competent flipper and a semi-competent saw....yeah, not much of a contest, really. CrashBash (talk) 18:46, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I can't even tell what Rippa Raptor is by looking at it. But it apparently has an average saw, and we know Cygnus X-1 has pretty much impenetrable armour, so I don't see a bright future for... whatever it is. ToastUltimatum 19:31, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

  4. Rippa Raptor really reached the final because Unibite knocked out Skullmania and itself, while Drillzilla concentrated on Conquering Clown and Red Virus. Cygnus X-1 is less cumbersome, and has the better weapon. Rippa Raptor to be tumbled onto its side. ManUCrazy (talk) 22:04, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
  5. That saw won't get much of a purchase on Cygnus, but the flipper would be enough to topple the top-heavy robot. Datovidny (talk) 07:59, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Actually, I'm going to vote for Schumey...partly because if it charges head on, it should avoid getting flipped, and partly because I don't trust Barber-ous' reliability. CrashBash (talk) 21:11, March 6, 2013 (UTC)

T.R.A.C.I.E. Raizer Blade
T.R.A.C.I.E
Raizerblade
Votes for T.R.A.C.I.E.
  1. I disagree. T.R.A.C.I.E. may have been lucky in the trials, but it looked fine in the arena. It was capable of pushing and to be fair, Raizer Blade's weapon wasn't THAT effective. A simple bulldozing around until the pitting at the end. CrashBash (talk) 21:12, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The flipper I doubt is fixed in a way that it could effectively flip TRACIE, whereas the polycarb protecting the wheels could be penetrated by a certain spear. Datovidny (talk) 09:37, March 7, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Raizer Blade
  1. Raizer Blade may not be top notch, but it's better than the middleweight that was, in my opinion, fortunate to reach the final. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 20:27, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  2. T.R.A.C.I.E. to be tipped over repeated times throughout the fight and will lose to Raizer Blade. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:15, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Not sure what TRACIE can do to Raizer Blade. Probably be shoved around or something. StalwartUK 21:41, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Raizer's weapon was pretty bad, but the wedge was all right, and the massive weight advantage can't be ignored. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 22:16, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Raizer Blade (4-2)

Haardvark vs Rat[]

Rat
Votes for Haardvark
  1. Rat is an odd shape, and doesn't have much in the way of attack. I think Haardvark will saw through the wheels for the win. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 20:27, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  2. In terms of power, Rat wasn't an excellent flipper. It was a decent flipper, but not brilliant. Probably just about enough to flip Haardvark. Only problem is, it seems to have an awful wedge. The blade that Haardvark used in Series 3 may not have been the most damaging, but Rat had some pretty weak armour, and I can see Haardvark evading the flip and scoring enough damage points to win. ToastUltimatum 21:45, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The pointed wedge does it for me, Haardvark to get lucky and win a judges' decision on damage, despite suffering a few minor lifts. Datovidny (talk) 09:39, March 7, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Rat
  1. Rat had a very good flipper from what little I saw of it, and Haardvark did not have a very good saw...also, no srimech. Nuff said. CrashBash (talk) 21:13, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Rat to tip Haardvark on it side. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:16, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I don't think that disc of Haardvark could do much damage and could very well shatter. One lucky flip from Rat and it's game over for Haardvark. StalwartUK 21:50, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  4. The blade of Haardvark was completely useless, and Rat looked to be a decent pusher. I'll predict it getting the killer flip in to win the battle. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 22:16, March 6, 2013 (UTC)

  3. Spam pitted. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:16, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I reckon I could think of a way for Spam to win, but the other outcome is more likely. I think half of the time, Spam will be too far up Prizephita for its flipper to work effectively, but it should still get enough decent flips, before leading up to an eventual pitting. ToastUltimatum 21:45, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Unsurprisingly the one with the flipper wins easily. StalwartUK 21:47, March 6, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Inshredable didn't have a lot to give in terms of push, and the disc looks like it'll struggle to get a purchase. Datovidny (talk) 09:42, March 7, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Inshredable's disc at least looked decent...Fatal Traction's did not. Also, consider this...Inshredable's weapon is similar to Cedric Slammer's, and we all know what that did. CrashBash (talk) 21:16, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Fatal Traction to be shredded by Inshredable's disc. Sam (BAZINGA) 21:19, March 6, 2013 (UTC)

  3. Mr Nasty wasn't a bad rammer by any means. Triterobot has a lot of exposed sides, and isn't really that ideal for pushing. CrashBash (talk) 09:58, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Triterobot won't be able to get a purchase on Mr. Nasty, whereas the latter could probably knock it onto one of its ends. Datovidny (talk) 10:17, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

Votes for Enderbot
  1. Ron is lighter than Enderbot meaning that Enderbot can push around and axe it. Sam (BAZINGA) 09:54, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Enderbot is heavier and has far better weaponary. I don't really think anything more needs to be said. CrashBash (talk) 09:59, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  3. If Ron is off its wheels, it's easy to push. Since Ron's up against a wedge-shaped robot, it could well be knocked about. Datovidny (talk) 10:18, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Ron won't be able ot make up for its size with aggression in the manner that Brute did. Enderbot has the better weaponry, and won't be shunted easily. ManUCrazy (talk) 12:28, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Voting for Enderbot because I don't know what Ron can do here; probably not outpush, certainly not out-weapon. It should be alive but pepperpotted at the end and lose the decision. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 17:07, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  6. I don't see how this can go any other way. StalwartUK 05:49, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Ron
  1. I'll go for the upset I think. Despite what the Sumo trial showed, I would still say that Ron is a pretty solid pusher, so it will pit Enderbot. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 09:50, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Enderbot has to kick back in order to use its weapon, leaving a huge ground clearance at the front. Ron can expose this. Not only that, but with Ron underneath Enderbot, Enderbot can't use its weapon, so it's completely useless. Ron was never going to push a scoop-equipped Shunt, however, I can see it pushing the two-wheeled Enderbot while it is underneath. ToastUltimatum 14:39, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

Panic Attack vs Mauler[]

Panic Attack Mauler
Panic attacks
Mauler2K
Votes for Panic Attack
  1. Panic Attack is simply too small for the Mauler's hammers, so that won't be a factor. Either a drag to the pit, or a toppling. I apologise for my earlier reasoning RA2, for some reason I had the later Mauler in my head. I will however stick by my guns, because I have faith in Panic Attack's ability to take a beating. I still maintain that it will be able to get underneath Mauler, seeing as Youtube shows both Steel Reign and Jay Leno's Chinkilla were able to do it but I realise now it will not be able to topple the US Machine. Instead, I think repeated pressure from PA will cause Mauler's weapon to break (again see Youtube), and score a victory. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 17:49, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
No worries everyone's entitled to their opinion, and there's a chaotic factor for any matchup that prevents us from being 100% certain; dominator vs Bigger Brother for instance, I bet anything we'd give it unanimously to Bigger Brother if that S6 semifinal battle hadn't happened. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 17:53, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
Just about everyone on the official Robot Wars forum thought Bigger Brother would win. I should know, I was there. CrashBash (talk) 17:56, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
You know something, I would have voted for Dominator 2 regardless. I would have thought that Dominator 2 was too big for a little robot like Bigger Brother to handle, and we know Bigger Brother had less armour on top, so it could have more on the sides. Kat 3 went straight through it. ToastUltimatum 18:25, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Mauler pitted. Sam (BAZINGA) 09:57, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Whilst I will agree Mauler is destructive, and whilst it was able to cause significant damage to Nightmare and Killerhurtz (since it was that version), I think Panic Attack is a bit too low for anything more than a glancing blow, and considering it stood up fairly well, externally at any rate, to Disc-O-Inferno, this should be an easy pitting for Panic Attack. Also, unlike Disc-O, I do not think Mauler is designed to wreck havoc on a robot's interior, which was partly why Panic Attack did suffer at its hands (of course, having Steel Avenger add to its problems with little time in between matches to fix didn't help). CrashBash (talk) 10:04, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Agreeing with CB on Panic Attack's way of staying intact, but also it has the forks to perform a simple lift, and then go on to pit Mauler or just flick it over. Datovidny (talk) 10:22, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I'm on this side as well,, though I assume that the Series 5/Extreme 2 version of PA will be used. ManUCrazy (talk) 11:53, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Panic Attack would probably do best here if it was the version pictured, the Series 5 and 7 machine was pretty chunky, so won't come out without damage. Ultimately though, Panic Attack's forks can slip underneath the weaponry, and control Mauler. ToastUltimatum 14:39, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  7. Panic Attack should be low enough to avoid the worst of Mauler's attacks and get right under them and then drag them to wherever they want them. StalwartUK 05:46, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Mauler
  1. Now hold on, Mauler's gyroscopic forces are HUGE, like so much so that they'd prevent Panic Attack from getting a lift. And I highly doubt that any version of Panic Attack is low enough to avoid those chisels, except maybe Panic Attack Gold. Mauler will fling it around like a ragdoll before it even has a chance to try and lift it. The original full body spinner to destroy Panic Attack. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. Barbaric Response Supernova
Barbaric Response

Votes for Barbaric Response
  1. Barbaric Response had good armour, and I'm backing it because I feel it won't sustain any more than just some superficial damage. The flipper was made of tough stuff, and the robot was twice as fast as its opponent, so shouldn't have much trouble with facing the right way all the time. Barbaric Response may be charged a few times, but it will keep flipping and win a tight judges' decision. Datovidny (talk) 10:24, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

  4. This would be a great fight in real life. Supernova has the edge, given its invertibility, and at times amazing power. Barbaric Response, won't quite be able to handle it. ManUCrazy (talk) 12:22, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Sadly, Barbaric Response's flipper blade was quite thin, and with Supernova rebounding away all the time, Barbaric Response has a minimal lack of opportunities. ToastUltimatum 14:39, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

  2. While it isn't a reliable premise to say that a robot will just konk out, I agree that it could well happen with Prometheus. Datovidny (talk) 10:25, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Flip Flop Fly's ground clearance is so big, it can just drive away when being pushed. Then it just has to wait for the breakdown. ToastUltimatum 14:39, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I don't normally vote for a robot based on a breakdown, but Prometheus' gas engine was quite unreliable, and its control was questionable against Weld-Dor, too fast for tis own good. Votes for Mousetrap 2
  1. The more you learn about Tip-Top, the more it buries itself. If this were a regular spinner that looked exactly like Tip Top, then yes, it would go the other way. But we know that Tip-Top has a petrol engine, and has to restart that big heavy disc whenever it wants to move. Moustetrap will take one glancing blow, and then got to town on Tip-Top before it can get going again. Too darn creative for its own good. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 13:32, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Mousetrap to push Tip-Top from the back down the pit. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:24, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Mousetrap is certainly the better of the two here. Once they have Tip-Top in that trap of theirs that disc will be unable to do anything and they can be shoved wherever Mousetrap wants them. StalwartUK 14:56, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Yeah, I agree with RA2 here. Mousetrap has the edge on mobility, speed, control and everything else except weaponry, for the one attack. ManUCrazy (talk) 15:04, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Tip-Top's weapon looked good, but as well as needing to spin the weapon to actually move, it's going to struggle to hit Mousetrap unless it enters the arena upside down. Mousetrap to pit Tip-Top. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:06, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  6. Mousetrap 2 is too low for Tip-Top to get a proper purchase. A similar bout to that of Little Fly if you ask me. Datovidny (talk) 15:16, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Cassius may have some difficulty working out what to do with Groundhog, but once it's underneath, there's no going back. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Groundhog to be toppled after defying Cassius 2's flipper for a while. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:25, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Well Groundhog's certainly no Firestorm for sure. One flip and it'll be all over. StalwartUK 14:36, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Team Firestorm meets the sequel to their inspiration. Cassius 2 will launch Groundhog across the arena and onto its back. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:13, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  5. Firestorm vs Cassius: Good battle. Groundhog vs Cassius: No contest. Datovidny (talk) 15:18, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Ground Clearance. That's all that needs to be said. Ground Ruddy Clearance! CrashBash (talk) 17:39, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

Stinger vs Black and Blue[]

Stinger Black and Blue
Stinger6
Black&Blue
Votes for Stinger
  1. Stinger might even be able to flip on of B&B over if it can position the mace appropriately, but if it can't, it will still batter at least one half into submission. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Stinger to play golf with Black and Blue, who will be Black and Blue. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:27, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Black and Blue will just bounce off Stinger. Those flat tops also offer an easy target for Singer's mace. StalwartUK 14:34, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Nice to see Stinger excell, but a shame to see Black and Blue flop. The trouble is, that heavy mace, against tiny middleweights with flat tops. Datovidny (talk) 15:20, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Stinger will hit both twins until one or both of them break down. They are both half Stinger's weight, so those drums would need tremendous power behind them to do to it what S3 did. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:24, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  6. It doesn't really take long to figure out who will win. Lets put it this way, if Daisy Cutter could do it, so can Stinger. CrashBash (talk) 17:40, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  7. To be honest, I can see a case for Black and Blue here. Stinger might not even hit the little things if it's spinning on the spot, and overhead swings will be horribly inaccurate. But Stinger should still only need a few hits to take one robot out, however long that will take. ToastUltimatum 19:25, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

Red Dragon vs Six Pac[]

Votes for Red Dragon Votes for Six Pac
  1. Six Pac was a fairly decent machine, so it should have the measure of Red Dragon, probably a pitting. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Six Pac to pit Red Dragon. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:27, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. One of my favourites, with the superior pushing power. Six Pac will likely dominate a pushing battle, whether it actually pits Red Dragon before cease is another matter. Datovidny (talk) 15:21, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Six Pac has the upper had in pushing power, and will pit Red Dragon fairly quickly. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:27, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  5. Hard to actually imagine Six-Pac making it too far on account of it "glitching", but Red Dragon wasn't exactly impressive, so....yeah, give it the benefit of the doubt. CrashBash (talk) 17:42, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  6. I don't see what Red Dragon could do to Six Pac offensively anyway. ToastUltimatum 19:25, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

Pathetica vs Metalis[]

Pathetica Metalis
Pathetica
Metalis
Votes for Pathetica
  1. Pathetica is too big for Metalis' claw, and the lifting mechanism seems too slow and ineffective to flip Pathetica. Pathetica can at least earn aggression by bashing the big target that is Metalis with the axe. ToastUltimatum 19:25, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Metalis
  1. Pathetica didn't seem to have mightily powerful weaponry, nor be a solid pusher, so I think Metalis will pit its Dutch opponent. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Pathetica to break down, giving Metalis the win. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:28, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Pathetica... what a fitting name. They won't last long. StalwartUK 14:54, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Broad sides and a fairly weak weapon, whichever way it falls, Pathetica won't be able to right itself after a Metalis flip. Datovidny (talk) 15:23, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I wouldn't back Metalis against many robots, but it's about as fast as Pathetica and has the lower front, so it would probably win a pushing match. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:29, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  6. Yeah, with a name like Pathetica....goes without saying even Metalis can beat it. CrashBash (talk) 17:44, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  7. Almost went on the other side, but I believe that surely, Metalis is capable of surviving the 5 minutes better than Pathetica. ManUCrazy (talk) 19:43, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  8. Considering that Pathetica's baseplate is cardboard, it shouldn't survive getting lifted off the ground. And winning a judges' decision? That axe had trouble going all the way out, and being able to damage Shapeshifter is nothing to write home about. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 19:53, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Steg 2 had flipper power to rival Chaos 2, so I think it will topple Trilobyte with little fuss. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The big robot to be toppled by Steg 2. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:30, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Steg 2 is far superior. ManUCrazy (talk) 15:07, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. This could last a while, before Steg 2 gets enough underneath to perform a KO flip. Datovidny (talk) 15:25, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Trilobyte can't self right and is a lot slower. Steg 2 will easily topple it.MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:32, March 11 2013 (UTC)

  2. Broot ripped apart. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:30, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Those wooden wheels... need I say more? StalwartUK 14:53, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Agreeing with Stalwart here. Datovidny (talk) 15:26, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  5. If Short Circuit could beat Atomic in the qualifiers and (presuambly) cause at least some damage to it, then it will have its way with Brute's wooden wheels. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:35, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  6. Broot's wheels were pretty much destroyed by Matilda's chainsaw. Short Circuit has a disc...see the connection? And Broot only has a spike. CrashBash (talk) 17:46, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

Jim Struts vs Night Raider[]

Jim Struts Night Raider

Votes for Jim Struts Votes for Night Raider
  1. I would like to be able to vote for Jim Struts, but I see no real offensive capability. Night Raider will push and shove and score a Judge's win. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I like Jim Struts but Night Raider to be more aggressive and win the judges decision. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:31, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Could we see a topple? Datovidny (talk) 15:27, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Night Raider was said to have 200 kgs of lifting force, 25 more than what Jim Struts weighs. Even if it can't quite topple the Inglis machine, Night Raider will at least be more aggressive. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:40, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  5. It's hard to say what Night Raider could really do considering we never really saw it in action, considering it broke down on one side so quickly, but this is Jim Struts we're talking about. A slow walker with limited offensive capabilities who only won because the House Robots destroyed all of its opponents. No real contest. CrashBash (talk) 17:49, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Night Raider apparently has the flipping power, and won't struggle to get underneath its foe. Just bashing Jim Struts would be enough anyway, provided Night Raider doesn't break down. ToastUltimatum 19:25, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Night Raider (6-0)

  1. Well Terror Australis just seemed to die at every available opportunity. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. I don't think this version of Terror Australis ever actually worked. Unless Techno Trousers decides to break down at the same time they've got this easily. StalwartUK 14:32, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. Go back to Australia, Terror Australis, you're absolutely rubbish and die at every opportunity. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:34, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. Even if Terror Turtle works this time, I don't think it can pull off the. Techno Trousers' weapon looked like it could at least do something compared to the saw that barely pokes out of Terror Australis, and the Americans will pit the Australians. MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:43, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  5. Techno Trousers on account of the fact that it will at least be able to move, albeit not very well...but hey, any movement is better than none. CrashBash (talk) 17:50, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Terror Australis
  1. TBH, Techno Trousers looks a nice materials to saw through, the holes have already given Terror Australis a start. Plus Terror Australis should have the pushing advantage by a long way. ToastUltimatum 19:32, March 11, 2013
  2. If the Auzzies can at least get Terror Australis to actually move, it shouldn't have a whole lot of problems against Techno Trousers since TT was a very slow mover and its weapon only worked once before it stopped altogether. Terror Australis should win if it stays aggressive. --Headbanger14/The Hardcore Kid 20:21, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Techno Trousers (5-2)

Piece De Resistance vs 4x4[]

Votes for Piece De Resistance Votes for 4x4
  1. There are very few machines I would vote for PDR over. 4x4 is not fantastic, but it has one up here. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:45, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  2. 4x4 to pit PDR. Sam (BAZINGA) 14:34, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I think almost any robot could take PDR out. StalwartUK 14:44, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I don't think Piece De Resistance would win if its opponent was a basketball being rolled towards it. 4x4 gets the benefit of the doubt, given that it had a lower centre of gravity than Monad, and was after all, against Hypno-Disc in its only appearance. ManUCrazy (talk) 15:00, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  5. I was going to vote for Piece De Resistance, but after watching it in its heat, it clearly had little to no power, despite the 4WD, so instead I'll back the robot with the petrol engine to dominate a dull pushing battle. Datovidny (talk) 15:34, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  6. There isn't a whole lot Piece De Resistance can really do against 4x4, or 99 percent of the robots that I can think of. 4x4 is nearly twice as heavy, a lot faster, has good power and is not nearly as unreliable, so it will just pit PDR without any resistance.MassiveDestruction49 (talk) 15:51, March 11 2013 (UTC)
  7. An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman walk into a bar. The bartender says "Is this a joke?" And this little joke is exactly what I'm thinking now, considering we're dealing with THESE TWO TEAMS! Yeah, you can probably guess what I'm thinking. However, I'm going to vote for 4x4 simply because the other robot is Piece De Resistance. No robot needs a reason to be able to beat it. And now, on with the main competition! YAY! CrashBash (talk) 17:55, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  8. Weight advantage, that's enough. ToastUltimatum 19:32, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
  9. Considering that PDR couldn't even knock down a barrel in Skittles, looks like the cloth robot is going through. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 19:54, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: 4x4 (9-0)

Shark Attack vs Humdrum[]

Shark Attack Humdrum
Shark attack
Humdrum
Votes for Shark Attack
  1. I actually think y'all have it wrong. Shark Attack had a flipper that looked reasonably effective, and it was quite easy to bump into Joker and stop its weapon without taking damage. The Spawn Again victory was a fluke caused by a faulty kill switch that turned everything off at the slightest jostle; heck Piece de Resistance could have pulled off that win. Shark Attack will just rush it and flip it. RA2; aka Resetti's Replicas. (My Talk) 16:19, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Yeah, I'm leaning towards Shark Attack. It has a flipper and Humdrum ain't got no srimech or ivertability. Humdrum over and counted out. Jimlaad43(talk) 19:04, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The first time I saw Humdrum was that fight with Spawn Again, and obviously, I was impressed. But yeah, its overall record and the cause of that one hit knockout meant that was a fluke. Shark Attack is still the better machine. ManUCrazy (talk) 21:30, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
Votes for Humdrum
  1. I apologise for the mess I've made here, hopefully it hasn't made too much of a difference for y'all. Anyway, Humdrum did impress me a little in its match against Spawn Again, and although the 1-hit KO was a fluke, it certainly showed more promise than Shark Attack ever did. MattRobot WarsTalk to me 11:24, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Humdrum did demonstrate more manouverability in it's fights than Shark Attack ever did. StalwartUK 11:52, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  3. I certainly don't think Shark Attack will flip Humdrum, and the loanerbot's weapon will show slightly more aggression. It might score a lucky KO, although I'm not counting on it. CrashBash (talk) 12:09, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  4. I'm not surprised that this happened, but only for a couple, so I'm kind of impressed. Same as above as far as this battle goes. Datovidny (talk) 12:32, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  5. Well Humdrum did manage to win the only battle for the Joker team, I think it can beat Shark Attack. RelicRaider (talk) 12:44, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  6. Shark attack will beaten like a drum, only very weakly. Sam (BAZINGA) 16:56, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
  7. I can definitely see the reasoning for Shark Attack to win, but with Humdrum spinning quite fast, I think it's simply more likely that it will immobilise Shark Attack. ToastUltimatum 18:26, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
Winner: Humdrum (7-3)
